More Math
Mathematically challenged people should not read this, so get back to your malt liquor, turn on the stupidest crap on TV you can find and just forget that Internet Poker exists.
Now the rest of you, both of you - think back to last week when I reported that the new wave of insanity in PokerStars was huge waiting lists, apparently 32 max, supporting some insane chip stacks that would have ordinarily taken 6 hours to fill under optimum conditions.
This table beats that one like a dirty rug. The basics of the equation are the same. Two spots have over a million chips. Two other spots have a combined million. So, I get to use the same 3 million table total as I did last week. Now here's the kicker. Instead of 100/200 blinds and a max buy in of 40k, this is 25/50 with a 10k buy in.
Take your math hats off. They look silly and if you are with me to this point you don't need them. Last weeks post came to an irrational, yet generous to PokerStars conclusion that it would take more than six hours for a table to reach the state it was at. The math here - 40k buy-in vs 10k buy-in= multiply by four. 3 million chips multiplied by four is essentially the same game where the leaders have a total of 12 million chips among them. Six hours multiplied by 24 hours, generously dropping the fraction equals
If it's real people this table took a day to develop into the state it's at. This is some serious bullshit. And it goes on every day as PokerStars keeps chugging along to their bogus 100 billion hands dealt.
